Today is another beautiful day in Germany! Marc always gives us the weather forecast, and today is supposed to be sunny with temps between 61 and 79 degrees! We left the Main River early this morning and will now finish our travels along the Rhine River.
This was the view from our room this morning.

Our first stop was at Rudesheim, a charming Rhine Valley wine town. We visited Siegfried's Mechanical Instrument Museum which contains a large collection of self-playing calliopes and music boxes from the 18th to the early 20th centuries.
Rudesheim is also known for its "Rudesheim coffee" which is made with sugar, brandy, coffee, and whipped cream. Marc arranged a demonstration and tasting at one of the local hotel gardens for us. It was a wonderful experience in a very picturesque setting!
What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon after lunch! We cruised through the Rhine Gorge which is filled with historic castles, wine vineyards, and awesome views! Many of the castles are ruins, but some of them have been converted into hotels. It's a picture perfect day with clear blue skies and not a single cloud!
