The day has finally arrived for us to board our ship! We're sailing on Avalon Waterways Impression, one of their "suite ships." The beds have been rotated to face the windows allowing you to lie in bed and watch the world go by! We have a French balcony which means we have sliding doors which fold back making an opening of 7 feet. We can sit in our room with the doors open and enjoy the fresh air!
We have been blessed with wonderful weather! It was hot when we were here last year. But this year the temperature has been around 70 degrees and sunny!
I've included a few pictures of our ship. Embarkation was very efficient and welcoming. The staff was waiting and greeted us with "Welcome Aboard!" We were told to enter the ship and wait in the lounge until we were called. We had not been seated 5 minutes when they called us to reception where we were given our keys and one of the staff escorted us to our room. Our luggage was already in the room when we arrived, and Mary explained everything in our room to us.
After dinner the captain treated us to an evening cruise so we could see the city lights. Spectacular!
