It's hard to believe that today marks the half-way point of our journey. We've seen so many beautiful sights yet have so much more to come! Forecast for today was rain and cool. And it rained on us this morning as we toured the beautiful medieval city of Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Instead of seeing as much baroque architecture, we saw the 13th century Romanesque cathedral and the Old Town Hall built on an island in the middle of the Regnitz River because the bishop refused to give the townspeople land for a town hall!

After visiting Bamberg, we returned to the ship to be treated to a Germany lunch buffet with everything German imaginable on it - sausages, schnitzel, potatoes, dumplings, beers, and apple strudel with ice cream for dessert! What more could you ask for!!
Mid-afternoon the Executive Chef had tours of the galley which is quite a small space. He was most informative and gave us a better idea of how everything works according to schedule.
